Welcome to the second post in a little series I am doing! In this post series I will be filling in the blank of this prompt:
___ Picks the books I read for a week
The answers may vary from other authors, my sister, friends, and more! I am supper exited for this here are the rules.
I pick four books from my physical TBR and have the ____ pick which one of the four I should read next. Then I repeat the prosses till the week ends!
Book One
The Watchmaker’s Daughter by C. J. Archer
Glass and Steele Book 1

India Steel is desperate. Her father is dead, her fiancé took her inheritance, and no one will employ her, despite years of working for her watchmaker father.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have had this book on my TBR forever, I heard such good things about it and was so nervous to pick it up, but I didn’t regret reading it. It lived up to what I thought it would be. I do have to say my favorite character is Matthew Glass the MMC (male main character) I adored the way he talked his dialogue felt so real to me and if you like historical fiction, with a dash of magic and romance this is the book for you.
Book Two
The Mapmaker’s Apprentice by C. J. Archer
Glass and Steele Book 2

“How are your acting skills, India?”
⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was my favorite book from this author I have read yet. The mystery was so intriguing to read along with the steady growth of our characters India Steele and Matthew Glass. I am not going to talk about this one to much because I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I loved reading this book!
Book Three
The Apothecary’s Poison by C. J. Archer
Glass and Steele Book 3

“This is it!”
⭐⭐⭐.5
I don’t know how much I should talk about this book… I don’t want to ruin anything if anyone reads it but I had a good time reading this book it was quick and the ending?! Like WHAT??? I was kind of in shock but also expecting the twist 😉
Book Four
Matched by Ally Condie
Matched Trilogy book 1

In the Society, Officials decide. Who you love. Where you work. When you die.
⭐⭐⭐.75
I had high hopes for this book, I was super excited when my sister chose this book for me to read during the week. I ate the start and the end of this book up I sat and read nonstop but I do have to say the middle of this novel felt slightly dragged out. The FMC Cassia felt so real to me, her thought prosses was written so realistically and just hit different for me. I grew attached to the characters and plot and I can’t wait to continue the series.
Book Five
Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer
Assistant to the Villain Book 1

Only the good die…
⭐⭐⭐⭐.75
I loved this book. It was such a fun time, a frog that holds up signs, an girl who needs a job, and a villain that you don’t want to get mad. Cozy and so magical this book was my top read of January. Hannah’s character building is perfection I was SO invested by the end of this book I wished I owned book two so I could dive into it.
Thank you for reading! did you read any good books recently?
Rock on,
K. Florence
