My Brother Picks the Books I Read for A Week

Welcome to the first post in a little series I am doing! In this post series I will be filling in the blank of this prompt:

___ Picks the books I read for a week

The answers may vary from other authors, my sister, friends, and more! I am supper exited for this here are the rules.

I pick four books from my physical TBR and have the ____ pick which one of the four I should read next. Then I repeat the prosses till the weekends!

Book One

The Eye of Minds by James Dashner

Welcome to the VirtNet. A world beyond your wildest dreams and your worst nightmares.

⭐ ⭐⭐Stars

I thought this book was okay, something I would totally expect my brother to pick for me 😉it was very futuristic but written in such a way that I could see how the VirtNet could exist in real life. I found the story line a little confusing but other then that this was an enjoyable read!

Book Two

The Guild of Thieves by Jaiden Phillips

One thief, one jewel, and entire kingdom on the brink of treason.

⭐⭐⭐.75 Stars

I was not expecting the action in this book. It had me running from the villain, taking the jewel and being a pick pocket with The MC Dice. I very much enjoyed myself with this book and recommend if you are looking for some Christian fantasy!

Book Three

The Queen’s Rising by Rebecca Ross

He chose betrayal. She chooses vengeance.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stars

When I picked up this book and started reading it, I was extremely worried that I wouldn’t like it, as I don’t read many political fantasy books. However, the further I got the more I realized that this book was much more than a boring political fantasy (no hate to people who like that kind of fantasy) it had deeper themes of finding family and finding yourself. I became invested with the characters and the world.

Book Four

Half—Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

You will kill the ones you love. It is in your blood, in your fate.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stars

A cross between Twilight and Greek myths. I loved it. Jennifer writes her fight and training sequences so good that I as a writer went back and read them again to study how she did it. the romance was good to I can’t wait to read the second book!

(PS before you read this book look at the trigger warnings)

Let's chat!

Have you ever read any of these books? If so what are your thoughts?

Rock On,

K. Florence

Having your brother pick the books you read is a great idea! (Though I would never trust my brother to do that XD.) I've only heard of the first one because I've read some of the author's other books, but the other three you read seem very intriguing! 😃
